History
Doug Cole is the owner/driver of the monster truck known as Blown Thunder. Doug
has always had racing of some sort in his blood. In 1994, after racing dragsters
for about 10 years, Doug felt that he needed a change of pace. He decided to explore
the action packed sport of monster truck racing. Doug sold his dragster and bought a
monster truck. He put his drag racing engine knowledge to work to modify and improve
the engine in his new truck. Doug came up with the name "Blown Thunder" and decided to paint
the truck black. In 1999 Blown Thunder's look changed but still
has the same aggressive driver and awesome powertrain. Doug has been working his way
up through the ranks over the past few years and is becoming more and more popular with
each win. The new ProMT series he has been racing in the last two years
has gone a long way in getting him the knowledge and experience to become a top
contender.
