Q. Why do you jump over cars?
A. A very cute little boy asked me that in a store one day and I didn't know how to answer him. It was the only question anyone has asked that has stumped me. Best answer I can come up with now is "Because dirt by itself is too boring. And it's easy to measure how far a truck jumps in terms of cars."
Q. Have you ever rolled Blown Thunder over?
A. Yes, a couple of times. The fans loved it, but my heart and wallet didn't.
Q. How fast can Blown Thunder go?
A. That's a difficult question, it all depends on how you adjust your gearing. We generally run short distance so the gearing is set very low.
There's no speedometer in the truck, but I estimate between 50 and 60 miles per
hour.
Q. How many cars can Blown Thunder jump over?
A. Most arenas are set up with 4 or 5 cars lined up side by side, we don't have trouble clearing those. We
have cleared 8 at one time. I'm sure she can jump farther.
